Mill Hill East Macon Arts Village
What remains of their porch reveals the rotted wood found in some of the houses.
The family who owned the house in the above pictures had to vacate when severe water damages spread in their living quarters. It became hazardous.
Previously, their porch was falling from rotted wood, until they vacated and the U.D.A. tore a portion of the porch down,
now finally rebuilding the porch.
My greatest concern was the infant. A beautiful child I had the pleasure to meet.
The family had to move, quickly selling their house back to the U.D.A. at a loss.
This was solely due to the Urban Development Authority’s mishandling of the project to reconstruct houses in the historic section of Macon. Their documentation of the re-building process was not met in reality.
Their blatant neglect of the many aspects of the Mil Hill East Macon Arts Village housing project was video taped by WGXA in August 2023.
*Falling Foundations, rotting wood, flooring coming apart, windows that don’t open and H/AC units that are wired to half capacity.
I have personally documented these issues for 2 1/2 years. I tried in vain, with emails and phone calls, for the UDA to care to help with these systemic problems.
Furthermore, after the video was aired on the 11 p.m. evening news, WGXA TV station took the video off their on-line site after a phone all from Joseph Alexander Morrison, the executive director of the UDA. In doing so, Mr. Morrison violated my First Amendment Rights. A certified letter was sent to the ACLU in February 2024.
He told two lies to have WGXA take it down and falsely accused me of lying:
1. Mr. Morrison told them I am not a homeowner even as he had sat across the table from me at the mortgage closing on May 17, 2021! I even sent the TV station signed mortgage copies that showed my name as homeowner with my partner. That did not help.
2. The second lie was that the Knight Foundation never granted any money for this UDA housing project. The Mill Hill East Macon Arts Village project was granted millions by the Knight Foundation, which may be found in public records.
After many attempts to speak with Mayor Lester Miller in 2023, I was not granted a meeting. We do not have a mayor that cares about ALL of Macon. Where has the mayor been on this project? Why won’t he hear these serious issues?
Do you think Macon is a town guided by compassion?

*Ninth Commandment: Do not give false evidence against your neighbor.
*Isaiah 56:14 -15 Thus justice is repelled, rightousness stands apart, at a distance; for truth stumbles in the public court, and uprightness cannot enter. Honesty is lacking, he who leaves evil becomes a target.
