Although Norahs now resides in California, we have kept in touch over the years. I first knew her as a talented poet. We worked together as members of the Orlando Poetry Troupe while we both were living in central Florida. In our time engaging in Performance Poetry, I must say she had the most perfectly beautiful speaking voice for the poetic.

How long have you been sewing and designing?
Started sewing about 53 years ago. Designing started about 14 years ago.
What inspired you to begin that working with clothing?
I was initially inspired by my maternal grandmother and mother. Their style was always classy, stylish and elegant. As I started developing into a young teen, my personal style also developed. I love to represent my inner self on the outside.
What are some of your favorite designs?
I love all my designs for different reasons, mainly because they are all Wearable Art.
Just like our moods evolve, so does my art.
Where have you shown your work?
My art has been shown on various social media platforms.
I have participated in the New York Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, Red Carpet Events and Award Shows.
My fashions have been shown in Paris, London, Hawaii, China, Nigeria, and South Africa,
Designs have also been sold at the Macys Department Store in Atlanta, wardrobe for plays and movie productions.
A few celebrities have Norahs Khan Designs as well.
Is there anything you personally like to wear?
Personally, I enjoy wearing all my art for different occasions.
